Victor Harbor Square Dancing is on the move. We have started well and continue to grow. I am teaching our learners a quick track to Standard Application Basic and Mainstream. The Basic is concentrated on before smoko then after we start brushing up on our Mainstream. We were visited by Eddie and Rosalie from Sunset Twirlers while they were staying on the Fleurieu Coast. We had a really Successful 2nd Birthday Dance with 5 Squares Dancing at one time. I did include 2 brackets of Basic Dancing to include our Learners in what is now their Groups Birthday. Square Dancing should include our Learners as early as possible to introduce them to the enjoyment of the activity that we hope they will stay with for a long time. If we do not include them we will lose them [ meaning for the activity as a whole ]. We had a number of our dancers attending Sunset Squares 21st Birthday Dance at Marion. I counted 6 Squares Dancing at one time with still a lot of people sitting out. It was great to see and hear the calling of David Todd from Sydney. Happy Birthday Sunset Squares. It was nice to have a Visitor from Victoria – Julie from Stradbroke Squares, Rosedale.
